CPR and First Aid Classes for Caregivers*
All currently active caregivers must provide the agency with their current certification in Infant,Child and Adult CPR and First Aid. A Friend of the Family is offering classes in 2008 to assist Caregivers with this requirement.

You will receive a Certificate for 2 years for Infant and Child CPR and 3 years for First Aid from First Response Training.
Cost for the class is $30. If you are a current client with A Friend of the Family, you may register on line for any class offered at the same price as a listed Caregiver. If you are not a current client or a currently active caregiver, the cost of the class is $40. This fee must be paid either by credit card or sending a check in the mail in order to register for the class. We are not able to take credit cards, checks or cash for the class at the door.

If you are not able to sign up for one of these classes due to being unable to come on a Saturday, please contact us to make special arrangements. You may take the class anywhere you choose as long as you can provide us with documentation of your certification. Hospitals, Community Centers and private companies offer courses in Infant and Child CPR.
New Mother/New Baby Care Class*
This class plus recent infant experience and current certification in Infant and Child CPR are required to be able to be referred on New Mother New Baby assignments. This course must be renewed every two years.

*Refund policy:
All registration fees are non-refundable and non-transferable if the class is held. If we cancel the class for any reason, you will be allowed one transfer of fees to another class at no additional charge.
If you have paid a registration fee and need to reschedule the class with two days or more notice, you can reschedule one time for an additional administrative fee of $5. After that, you will be required to pay another registration fee.
Refunds or the opportunity to transfer to another class will not be given to anyone claiming they could not locate the class. If you are ill on the date of the class and can produce a doctor's note, you may reschedule one time for an additional administrative fee of $5.
